Publish Proceedings of CITIDEP Panel at VI ANECPAP Congress

  • Define a joint publication agreement/protocol between CITIDEP, ANECPAP and CICSUG, as co-editors of the publication;

  • Define a Joint Committee (CITIDEP-ANECPAP-CICSUG) for the Publication; [Luis Miguel? Rafael? Iovana? Narda? Yuriria ? Veronica ?]

  • Define budget and Raise funding;

  • Designate a coordinator to collect all communications (ponencias) from authors, and introductory remarks from leaders of the 3 Institutions, and relevant information (for instance the Grants/Becas mentioned by Alejandro, etc.);

  • Consider the production of a CD-ROM including digitized video material from the Congress

2 Seminars and Research in Toluca
  • Publish plan and schedule on the web site

  • Consider the publication of Toluca seminar research papers in a CITIDEP-Mexico booklet series, f.i. 1 (one) per year

  • Consider the possibility of a cooperation protocol with ANECPAP for the information and mobilization of potentially interested students (and their professors) for these Seminars and for the Research Grants [contact current ANECPAP leadership, e.g. Narda and Veronica and Yurira, and also Iovana]

  • List target researchers and students and consider creating a special mail list, open to non-CITIDEP members, for preparation, information and discussion concerning these seminars

  • Translate main (or selected) Research documents (produced by CITIDEP Mexico) into english, to allow international participation and feedback, in particular from CITIDEP International; these english versions could be published on a web-based research journal (CITIDEP International proposal, by Timothy Wutrich)

3 Update and improve CITIDEP Mexico web page(s) and Internet infrastructure

  • Designate a Web Master, coordinator of the page(s) and of communication with other CITIDEP Web pages (PT, USA, etc).

  • Identify a Mexican Internet Server possible to be used by CITIDEP

  • Designate a System Manager, to manage and update Internet Server

  • Register a Internet domain www.mexico.mx for this Server

  • Install a Mail server, supporting CITIDEP mailing lists

  • If possible, consider transfer the registry of CITIDEP.ORG (currently on a server closed until September) to a Mexican Internet Server, in particular transfering citidep.org mailing lists (need to talk with Mark Hasegawa-Johnson, jhasegaw@uiuc.edu)

  • Study the possibility of installing video streaming software, for Internet video broadcast, videoconference, etc.

4 Translate CITIDEP main Documents from English (or Portuguese) into Spanish and write Mexico Chapter Internal Regulation

  • CITIDEP English flag Constitution | bandeira lusa Estatutos

  • CITIDEP Internal Regulations: How to Join CITIDEP, Chapter general regulation, Project Management (see internal data base, ask Pedro if you don't know how to reach it)

  • Write an internal regulation (norm) defining the process of approval of new members in Mexico Chapter, compatible with general CITIDEP approval regulation

  • Contribute to the current CITIDEP international discussion about creating two different full memberships, on top of current distinction between associate and active members: a "Researcher" membership and structured career, with more rigorous admission criteria and with exclusive voting rights related with CITIDEP research, and a general "Society" membership, with rights restricted to vote only non-research activities relevant to CITIDEP mission and objectives. (Of course, even for research-related decisions, there must exist different decision levels, depending on academic qualification and responsability within CITIDEP).

5 Update Contacts and Data Base of CITIDEP Mexico members and friends

  • Define a data base template for collecting relevant information on CITIDEP members and friends (name, email(s), phone, mail address, web site if any, academic degrees, institution affiliation and position, research interests, main publications - and eventually a CV, want to join CITIDEP or want to join CITIDEP information list, etc.)

  • IMPORTANT: List and contact all persons that mentioned their interest about CITIDEP during Guanajuato Conferences, and update the template information

  • Contact Mexico members and friends listed in previous CITIDEP data base, and update their information according to template data base

  • IMPORtANT: All CITIDEP formal members or candidates to members must fill this on-line registration form. (you can also send by email an updated resume' (CV) to the International Executive Committee and the Chapter Coordinators)

6 Based on the updated contacts and information, decide if it should be created another nucleous in Mexico Chapter (besides the Guanajuato and Toluca ones), electing another Coordinator(s) (for instance, for Mexico DEF and remaining regions)

7 Create a Task Force to prepare a proposal for the realization in Mexico of a next edition of the International Conference on Public Participation and Information Technology, in the sequence of ICPPIT99

  • Consider feasability for Date, Local, University co-organizer, Funding, Human Resources (begining with disponibility of CITIDEP Mexico members to assume coordination)

  • IMPORTANT: Promote and distribute (sell) ICPPIT99 Book
